FlightScopeŽ 3D Doppler Tracking Golf
Radar
The FlightScope X2 is a phased array Doppler tracking Radar unit that can
be used for both outdoor and indoor applications. The hardware and software
included can stand up to the best technology available today.
Experience a new level of 3D accuracy and portability with the wireless
FlightScope X2 tracking radar. No PC is required when using the FlightScope X2
and it can be operated directly using certain smart phones. New features include
auto leveling, camera alignment and an extended battery life. It includes
integrated club fitting and ball fitting modules or benchmark yourself and track
your progression with the FlightScope Skills Test. Work on your short game
technique with the FlightScope Chipping Mode or play a round of golf with your
friends on some of the most famous golf courses in the world.
Outdoors the FlightScope X2 tracks the ball for the entire trajectory in 3D
(elevation angles, horizontal angles and velocity ) until it lands, or as far as
the ball is in the radar field of view. Accuracy for carry distance is typically
within 2-4 yards at 250 yards and within 1-2 yards at 150 yards. Spin is
measured directly and shot shape, which relates to the side spin, is measured
directly and not calculated like with launch monitors.
Indoors the FlightScope X2 measures the ball until it is stopped by the
hitting net/screen. The longer the ball travels, the better the accuracy, and
spin is measured directly by applying a small dimple-size sticker onto each
ball.
The FlightScope X2 tracks the club movement in 3D, for both indoors and
outdoors, without having to put anything onto the club. Not only does FlightScope
X2 measure club head speed at impact, it also measures the club
head speed profile throughout the strike zone. Furthermore, it measures the
angle of attack in both vertical and horizontal directions.
The software provided with the FlightScope X2 has data screens for Real Time
trajectory tracking, Club processing, Table of detailed measured parameters,
Driver Optimizer, Ball Fitting Software.
FlightScopeŽ, the world's first-ever 3D Doppler tracking golf radar, is a
state-of-the-art portable indoor-outdoor golf radar, which is used for
ball-flight and club monitoring. Accurate and user-friendly, it is
in use for golf instruction, swing analysis and club fitting around the world. FlightScope
is also used as a training aid and for personal practice by tour professionals
and other golfers devoted to game improvement.
